I already had a fireproof document envelope/pouch but it only fits a few documents and eventhough at least keeps my most important documents safe I needed a few of those envelopes to keep all my family documents. This fireproof/waterproof briefcase holds everything and then some. This is no bag, it's a briefcase with handle and strap. It's thicker than the envelope I already have, which I love and safe to 2500° F (not planning to move to a volcano but that's impressive) This is also big enough to hold legal size documents, and it even came with an extra envelope where you can keep separately your cash, valuables or just passports or use it when traveling. It's made of three layers of silicone and fiberglass and has a wide zipper what is also covered in silicone, a flap of the same material to cover the zipper and is secured with heavy-duty Velcro. Also has a lifetime warranty f for whatever reason you are not satisfied. Nowadays the weather and natural disasters are too common for comfort but at least you can keep your documents and valuables safe and in one place, so IDs, deeds, insurance, medical records, passports, birth certificates, marriage licenses, last will and testament, all in one place.
